In the Gramophone Awards of 2005 Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra were awarded with the most important prize: Record of the Year award 2005 and the award Best of the Category (Baroque Vocal).

Sir John Eliot Gardiner and forces also won Best prize for the Category DVD with the DVD of Berlioz Les Troyens.

In the same issue, Sir John Eliot's recording with the Monteverdi Choir and the Orchestra Revolutionnaire et Romantique of Weber's opera Oberon has been selected as editor's choice. This is the most recent big studio recording with Sir John Eliot Gardiner that Polyhymnia was involved in for Philips Classics.
