Polyhymnia to record Philadelphia Orchestra Live for Ondine
Polyhymnia is pleased
to announce that we are recording and editing the Philadelphia Orchestra recordings
for Ondine records. The orchestra and its music director Christopher Eschenbach
will be releasing a minimum of three SACD’s per year.
The recordings will take place during live concerts, and will be produced
by Martha de Francisco. The first release (November 2005) will be a disc of
Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra, Martinu’s Memorial to Lidice,
and Gideon Klein’s Paprtita for String Orchestra, recorded live in Philadelphia
in May.
Polyhymnia is also recording the orchestra during their Asian tour, including
concerts in Tokyo in Suntory Hall and in Kuala Lumpur.
