Get to Know Julia Fischer on Super Audio CD and DVD-Video

Julia Fischer is truly a future Super Star of the classical music recording industry. In her debut solo album at the tender age of 21, she provided a performance that artists with 20 years more experience would struggle to match. Now, in order to provide classical music lovers with more of an insight of this virtuoso violinist her record company, Pentatone Music, has produced a sumptuous Super Audio CD two disc box set with a bonus DVD-Video featuring the artist and her music.

Recorded by the world famous Polyhymnia International, the Super Audio CD features Fischer playing J.S. Bach, sonatas and partitas for solo violin. Released by Pentatone last month, the Super Audio CD box set has enjoyed a flurry of positive reviews, including the Times, Sunday Times and Gramophone, whilst International Record Review carried her photo on its cover this month. Simultaneously, La Monde de la Musique awarded the album with its highest ‘CHOC’ award and Pizzicato magazine gives it a ‘Supersonic’ rating.
